Tsim Sha Tsui StayThe budget stay guide to Kowloon, Hong Kong

The guide

Editorial policy

The rules that govern every page of this guide: real prices, real streets, dated facts, corrections published, sponsorship labelled.

Notebook open on a table with handwritten price figures, a bus timetable leaflet and a pen under warm desk light

This page states how Tsim Sha Tsui Stay is written and checked. It exists so a reader can judge the guides, and so an advertiser knows exactly what can and cannot be bought here.

Prices and facts

Every price is published as a Hong Kong dollar band observed in the real market, never a promotional figure, and price-bearing pages are re-read when the market moves. Transport pages state fares, first and last departures and stop lists as observed, including the disappearance of services, as with the free K5 airport shuttles that ended in June 2020, documented in the K5 successor guide. Accommodation pages describe categories and trade-offs rather than pretending a single address suits everyone; the bands sit in the hotels guide and the hostels guide.

What the desk refuses

No invented rates, no invented addresses, no claims of on-site inspections, and no reviews of named operators behind which the desk cannot stand. The desk runs no ratings of individual properties, because a corridor’s best guesthouse is another traveller’s worst night; it publishes the method instead, in the booking checklist.

Corrections

Corrections are published directly into the affected page, without silent edits of meaning. Readers report movements in fares and closures by writing to the address on the contact page, and each accepted correction updates the page it concerns. The heritage of this address, a historic guesthouse of the same name, is stated once, factually, in the guesthouse guide, and never used to imply a hotel business.

Sponsorship

Sponsored placements, when they exist, are labelled on the page itself and governed by the rules on the sponsored content page. No sponsorship alters a price band, a fare or a verdict on a transport option.
